I'm baaack....

So, for the record, just because I haven't posted anything doesn't mean I haven't been creative. I took pictures of the mini quilt I made last Thursday. I had something very funny and clever to say about taking the Jenny P. challenge and making a mini quilt in one night....... I did it, I didn't post it and I can't remember what I was going to say. I assure you, it was funny and clever. I hear she has made two more...... evil, creative woman. I also finished some other UFOs, none post worthy. Last night though, I finished THE DRESS. I think it was worth the wait. The final steps included hand hemming yards of bias skirt and making miles of bias tape for the trim. When I tried it on for my DB he was impressed. He had seen it at not so impressive stages and even dared to laugh once.... mooooo. Now, tell me what you think. The close up is of my Mema's very vintage buttons my Sis gave me.

  9. just totally love the dress sis, the fabric is just perfect and the buttons, they are wonderful on it, I agree with everyone else, you are so talented and have a great eye for seeing something in its finished form. Was the dress super hard, or would it end up as a pillow, again, if i tried to make it????

  10. Thanks one and all for the nice comments! How shocking it was for me to hear from people that they were SURPRISED to see me in a dress. I love dresses!

It was not hard to make, just time consuming....

Mom, Jess, Believe me, you DO NOT want to see the face that was in those pictures. You know who was taking them, I don't think he means to get my ugly faces.....

Mary Beth, thanks I kinda like the mannequin hands too, especially with the cut off head! ha ha ha

Sherie, good news is, your pillows are gorgeous! You could do this dress no problem! You never said you had issues with that pattern.....
