Goofin around

I did make another hat. I really like this style. I made it a bit shorter in the crown so it works better with a jacket. I also made a neck something. Warmer, neckerchief, not a tie, not quite a scarf...... I don't know but I put some of my favortie buttons from here. If I could be a button these are the buttons I would be. Sherie knows what I'm talkin bout.....
And no, you know who was not taking these pics. I did not want to disturb his studying and so was tormenting myself. Can't you tell.... blurry much?

  2. Cute! Scarflette? Necklette? Muffle-ette? (Aren't those hand-warmer things from the Victorian ages called muffs? No? Anybody??)

  5. Gotta have it! That is one FAB scarf-let! I saw something very similar the other day but didn't save it. So?..... Will you share that info?

Like the hat too but the scarf is primo! Love the photos better (you're looking fabulous!) ;)

  6. I'm still going to call it a dickie, but I looked on Etsy and found neck warmer, cuff, cowl (yours is not a cowl), and scarflette. A muff is a handwarmer where you stick your hands in both sides. And a dickie is a fake shirt neck, but it's the funniest word! Haha!

So I tried to make one tonight with that boucle, but I ran out and then put it up against my neck anyway and ITCH-Y!!! Yikes! I threw it away... It was a mess...

  7. Well, whatever we call it..... I am glad you all like it! I wore it today and even got a random person comment on it!

Joan I made this with a chenille yarn, 1 skein, J hook, double crocheted, 21 stitches across. Buttons sewn where I liked them...... It is just a rectangle.

  8. Super cute!! Orange is a good color for you, and the hat & scarflet look really good together. You're so clever. :)

  9. Wow! Girl! The way it photographed it looked asymetrical and funky! I've got a really delicious, chunky wool yarn that I think I'm going to turn into a "corinnea scarf"! Thanks Corinnea!
