My cousin was married this last summer- which was the main reason for our California vacation in September.
She is an elementary school teacher so she wanted the chalkboard look to her invites-well I think that is why she wanted the chalkboard look... honestly I don't know that I asked.
She was married at the absolutely breath taking location the Valhalla estates on Lake Tahoe... so I pushed for a color map of the location... It's a historic property run by the US Forest service (at least in part) and is worth a visit if you're in the area.
was a so fun to be able to put these together for her. 
WOW! This is a really cool set! Did you hand draw/write, or use graphics and fonts? Really great job!
ReplyDeleteMost of it was drawn on my tablet. Most of the text is just different fonts - except their names and valhalla tahoe and the return address that is all hand written. I don't use other people graphics generally because even if I find something I like it won't work exactly the way it is so I just recreate it to my own specifications. Like the bunting/ribbon. It needed it to fold an exact way but I found something I liked and redid it to what I needed.
ReplyDeleteI love these! I think your art work (the invites, prints, etc) are my favorite thing that you do. Just love them! The map insert is awesome! When you say "drawn on my tablet" what are you talking about? Like Ipad or wacom tablet?
