More Baby Stuff

I stayed home today. I wasn't feeling great and after realizing that I'd sat for about a half hour just looking at the wall when I was supposed to be going to work..... I stayed home. I really don't like staying home when I don't feel good. I think the only time I am ever bored at home is when I'm sick. Especially when my head and face hurt like they are right now. Jennifer says it's the drastic changes in temperature that we've been having. I may be inclined to agree. After our two days at near 80 we are back down to 60.... with rain.... oh blah.....

Anyway.

I sewed.

It took me all day.

Did I mention my head hurt?

It made me happy though, sitting, sewing, thinking of having a model for this minature stuff I like to make.

Oliver + S Bedtime Story Pajamas, size small.
This  is the yummiest, softest flannel we have in our shop, Kaufman "Cozy Cotton". I had a hard time finding something in my stash to trim it in until I spotted some of our newest line, "Multiple Choice" by Hoffman, that I'd bought the day it came in. Hope you like them as much as I do Jessica.

Instead of the ties on the sides that it calls for, I made small tabs and used snaps to close it. It's an issue I have with ties and babies....

Another school house tunic and pillows

I was looking at our fabric in the shop on Thursday, thinking of another Schoolhouse Tunic. The Ceylon line from Hoffman caught my eye and after getting everyone's opinion, I decided to try it. I really love the way it turned out. I finished it in time to wear it to our big sale yesterday. When I got to work, there was Lizy in her's and then Katelyn walked in with her  awesome version of the Torii Tunic by Serendipity studios. Let's just say, I think our outfits sold a few patterns.... I wish I would have thought to have the three of us in a photo. I grabbed Jennifer right before she left for home to take these for me.
One of the squares of pure green made into a pillow at my sister's request. The stamp pillow is for the father of one of my daughter's friends. On my trip to see Jessica I was carrying this purse. He collects stamps and told me that all the stamps depicted on the fabric  are actual stamps, some of which he has. Can't think of a better person to share fun fabric with.

Repeats

I was thinking the other day that it's time to take down the Sunday Brunch Jacket hanging in the shop, hoping to inspire others to sew something. I really love that little jacket and now I will fold it up and send it to Jessica. Thank goodness she sees no pressure in me making these little things. I haven't asked Uber about that...... Anyway, I just love these patterns and when our corduroy came in at the same time as the Marrakesh line, I couldn't resist the way they looked together. This is size 6-12 months. Maybe the next time Baby E comes in I can see if it fits her. She's growing fast though...

I made another of Heather Bailey's aprons. This time I decided to make it reversible. It works. It wasn't too difficult either.
More later.
