An Invite!

I received the funnest of invites the other day, to be a guest blogger on my sister's and niece's beautiful blog, but seriously they are so talented along with their spouses that the thought of what to post was a LITTLE intimidating.  I didn't know whether to show a  sweater for a bitty who will be coming along very soon, its very soft and my own design, easy, simple, hope she likes it.

Maybe the stamps that are so fun to carve, could make these all day long, just have to figure out what they are good for...

Or to show my favorite thing from Christmas, it may still be up.

Could show some of the scribbles that have been going on....
Or what about my two favorite girls, Soffe has a sprain because she think she has great dane legs, but not really, and Slips just hides from the world.

Perhaps the most beautiful spot in Tahoe, Falling Leaf Lake, we escape here for a afternoon whenever we can, which is not enough.

Most of all wanted to show this, he has to be one of my most favorite possessions, made by my brother in law a really long time ago.  I love him.  He is cast in bronze and is tiny and lovely.  See how hard it is to come up with anything that matches that?  But it sure is fun to try....

ParrishPlatz logo

Another logo completed! I've been working with Jennifer from ParrishPlatz to create a logo to represent her business. How cute is this whimsical little town?
Jennifer will be able to switch up the colors of parrishplatz whenever the mood strikes her
Each piece of the logo is a seperate graphic so she can do all sorts of things with the pieces

Which is pretty awesome. Check out her blog to see some of the things she's planning to do with her new logo.

Elephant Butt Face

Now that I have you attention... I have a new onesie design and I'm LOVING IT... seriously it's replaced the giraffe design as my favorite. Do you think people on etsy will be offended if I call it the Elephant Butt Face Onesie??! I rather like the name personally.

Front
Back
I printed this one up in turquoise per Ubers request. But like all my onesies you can chose a different color if you like.
I had been meaning to think up some new designs forever and a recent order finally got me thinking since I wanted to send a few things along with said order as a gift. I think the order is about a month late... oops... not my usual business practice I am all about getting things out ASAP. Hopefully I will be forgiven though since the baby isn't due yet and .... well because I am sending gifts!

Sweet E Cake

I know 3 times in one week and it's only wednesday!! (Don't expect this to keep up!)

Another logo I have been working on. I actually designed it back in December-January but it had been put on the back burner until this week. It is for a friend in Indiana who is starting up a little cake business from home. I LOOOVVVVEEEE the name.
Here's it with a little pop of color... I just sent this version along for fun but I think it's growing on me.
I loved getting the opportunity to play with a logo that is not crafting related. Or I guess a better way to put it is I loved getting the chance to play with a logo that was food related. Makes me want to open a bakery... or on second thought maybe just visit one... hahaha.
And on a complete side note I am hanging out on our patio right now writing this post and I just looked over to see a cardinal hoping around my wanna be garden. I am SO happy summer is finally here and though I am sure it will be a long hot 6 months at the moment I am eating up every minute of outside time I can get!

For my Cousin

Look I can still craft!

I was supposed to teach my cousin how to do freezer paper stenciling when she was here but we sort of ran out of time doing things like visiting the beach and shopping instead. So I promised her I would make her a shirt and send it later.

She decided she wanted an owl so I drew up the pattern the last night she was here (while she was doing homework...ahem) and ended up cutting out two stencils at once since I had a feeling I would never want to go through the trouble a second time (at least I am learning). So I made one for me and one for her. They aren't exactly the same though just roughly.

The branch wraps around to the back of the shirt. I did mine in brown ink. My shirt had more ribbing then I realized so there is some splitting going on. I ended up digging the look though so I decided not to fix it and just let it do it's thing.
Corrie choose a pink shirt so I used black ink on her's.

I am really stoked with the design.
Hopefully she likes it! Hopefully I get it in the mail soon!!

And for all of you who don't live near the beach here is a dolphin picture for you from the beach this weekend, we are having gorgeous weather!! The dolphin is on the right. I think it's a bird on the left. I wish I had brought a better camera with me but this will have to do! I hope you are all enjoying your versions of spring.

Shirts!

Amanda was totally up for some crafting while she was here so I taught her how to do freezer paper stenciling and we even got her all set up so she can continue when she gets back to her dorm!
We picked up some plain T's on Friday and she got busy with some sparrow designs.
How cute is that?

Next she went for a peacock! Which she was a little intimidated by but I think she did a marvelous job! What do you think?

I love the butt feathers!!!

I can't wait to see what she does with her new skills!!

While she was busy with her exact-o knife I made her a logo from some of her drawings. I have decided that everyone needs a logo!
Saturday we got the tree up and decorated. The house is decidedly more festive! I love Christmas lights!
I haven't added much to the tree since last year but I did manage to make up some garland. Its from the shell lamp I took apart last year to make my crystal lamp. I couldn't see throwing all the shells out so I kept them in a bag and finally realized they would be great for garland on the tree. They are perfect... now I just need more shells!
Oh and for a black Friday deal... Amanda got some wonderful deals but this is all I came home with (well for me anyway)!!
They're from Urban Outfitters .... you just can't resist this kind of awesomeness on sale! These suckers are HEAVY and around 3 inches tall. I just with they had done them in realistic colors.

Alright well I am off. Fair warning I may possibly disapear for a while again!

She's Alive!

Well I disappeared out of no where! I have been all sorts of busy around these parts but it has been the kind of busy that you have nothing to show for (other then a very very dirty house... lol) Hopefully it all will be wrapped up in the next week and I will have something to post about! I do have one fun thing I can share with you though.
Collin asked me to work on a logo for him so for the last few days I have been playing around with some ideas and I finally have something together for him to look at today so... without further ado

I have no idea if he is going to like it or not... but he didn't give me a lot of direction just to include a 3 point crown... and yes I gave him a hair cut I hope he doesn't mind the long hair doesn't translate well on a silhouette.
If you haven't checked out his work you should go take a look (though he really should post some of his new stuff, ahem) My favorite so far is this painting.
It's finally feeling like fall around here and though I am sure it wont last I am enjoying it immensely! Also has anyone been watching Glee? Totally cheesy and I am totally hooked... I probably shouldn't be admitting this. Oh well.

Finally I know

After having make new header for blog on my to do list for ages I finally got around to it this evening. The graphics are actually a preview for a new invite in the works.... thank goodness no one local reads the blog! I hope you all like this one because it will likely be another year before I get around to updating it again!
I am going to go and see if I can get my Etsy header updated as well since it doesn't even have my newest logo on it... oops!

**edited to add- I actually got my Etsy banner updated too. YEAH!**

Pen tablet fun...Part two

So I finally took the time to figure out watermarking... well I started to, got frustrated and then had uber do it! Why can't their just be a button that says watermark maker? Anyway I think I am going to start watermarking everything... WAH HA HA... ok that probably doesn't translate well... insert evil cackle here...

In no particular order here are a few more completed graphics.

This one reminds me of a crown.

The next two are not originals, I saw them in a picture and wanted them, so I made them. They look great with initials inside, very simple and fun. I love being able to make what I want!

This can be added into a border used in corners or just duplicated over and over again like the ones I showed you yesterday. I really like this one.

So it is kind of goofy and I am not sure what it will work for... but it will be good for something!
Now that I am looking at it it's kind of like a fist...
I should of made this out into the border it is supposed to be but I forgot... so this is one piece of a long line ... when I remember!

Alright well I am off... there isn't much to be said about random drawings! And I am sure I have said too much!
