Something Simple
Yesterday, just before the shop closed, Jennifer and Katelyn were looking at a book we have been waiting for. There were some really cute ideas made up with yummy fabrics. None of the projects are very difficult or time consuming. This is something I love, because time is precious and I never seem to have enough but I crave making things. Ask my DB, I always have something going on.... (Oh and yes, that is my cluttered sewing table!) Sew anyway.... this was one of the simple yet cute projects and I told Jennifer I used to do that. I couldn't reist making one up this morning. They are easy and cute and if you have babies you never have enough. Hmm, I also used to make crib sheets out of flannel with little applique on them....

I'm baaack....
So, for the record, just because I haven't posted anything doesn't mean I haven't been creative. I took pictures of the mini quilt I made last Thursday. I had something very funny and clever to say about taking the Jenny P. challenge and making a mini quilt in one night....... I did it, I didn't post it and I can't remember what I was going to say. I assure you, it was funny and clever. I hear she has made two more...... evil, creative woman. I also finished some other UFOs, none post worthy. Last night though, I finished THE DRESS. I think it was worth the wait. The final steps included hand hemming yards of bias skirt and making miles of bias tape for the trim. When I tried it on for my DB he was impressed. He had seen it at not so impressive stages and even dared to laugh once.... mooooo. Now, tell me what you think. The close up is of my Mema's very vintage buttons my Sis gave me.

Have fun without me.....
So, last Thursday my back decided to go out. I think maybe it's having fun somewhere without me and won't be coming back. There were so many things I was going to do.....

Haven't done this in awhile....
This was an idea I had a few months ago. Yes, the stuff has been sitting here waiting for me to have the time. Time. Hmmm. Can you actually make time? They say you can. What's the recipe, I want to know. Anyway, I saw these paper blocks and thought they might make fun books. I like the way they turned out.

Memory lane
Spending a very quite Sunday. My DB is hard at work on his class. It causes him pain and I hate that. So, I quietly sit looking at who knows what on the computer. I started going through our pictures of our "Big Trip". This is the one we took when we thought we were leaving Germany. A road trip in our Mini for I forget how many miles. You would be amazed at what I can fit in a Mini. The convertible top was helpful! This is a favorite picture from a market. I don't think I have ever seen a mushroom this big before or since. Hmmm, I could kidnap him and take off on another trip! No one would miss us...........

For Sherie
It may take me awhile to get this mailed (DO NOT insert snide remarks here my loving family) so I thought I would blog it. This will show too that I haven't been completely idle. Between working, eating and sleeping, I managed to be a bit creative. Be kind ya'll, I never claimed to be artistic. Oh, and since Jenny B. says things always look bigger online...... the plate is 9 3/4..... So anyway Sis, love you! I will try hard to get it out soon, whether you want it or not!

What do you think?
Don't sew when your tired...... This is from an instructional that Jenny P. shared with me. I tried to mess this up in more ways than I can tell you. Sad part is, it is simple, but not.... or it is just me. Whatever. I still think it's cute. You can be honest though, as long as you use cute somewhere.....
