Thanksgiving Weekend

The Friday after Thanksgiving we headed down to the 'happiest place on earth' -- Which just happens to be 2.5 hours from our front door. My Grandmother and visiting Uncle and Aunt instigated the craziness. And it was a crazy - just so you know the park is slightly busy after Thanksgiving.
Micah's favorite ride was probably the carousel... but only if Grandma rode with him

Uber being crazy with Micah at the swiss family tree house
The main reason for the trip was to see Disney all done up for Christmas - The castle was beautiful!
 The light parade was fun
They did a fantastic job with the fireworks

13 hours wore the boy out. He huddled down right before the fireworks and decided it was time to sleep!
Well this is just my side of the trip... I haven't gotten a hold of all the additional photos taken... but going through mine was daunting enough!

Have you made a bias skirt lately?

A quick revisit to Mum's tutorial from a few months ago... I needed more... these things are so comfortable and easy to make that it can be rather addictive. Mum did cut these out for me (and iron the hem...I hate doing that!) but other then that I did all of the sewing.... not that there was that much of it to do...
We added a lining in these since we were a tad worried about them being a touch see through.
Grey and Black will be much easier for me to wear through the winter.
Now if I could just figure out how to keep this booger from hanging off of them.

Invites for a 25th Wedding Anniversary

A friend is throwing her daughter a 25th Wedding Anniversary Party and asked for me to make up the same invites I did for her other daughter a little over 3 years ago (which was the very first thing I posted about on my blog. I also made the invites for their 50th Anniversary that her daughters hosted.)

She ordered candy bar wrappers again.  Which are very fun- just glad I don't have to wrap all of the candy bars!
It's always nice to see couples hit these anniversarys!

The Entry Walls Go Up!

When we bought this house, one of the first things I knew I wanted to do was get someone to put up the rest of this wall.

This room had been used as the dining room. It's now our cuddle up and get cozy TV room.
I don't like seeing the back of the TV.
Oh and yes, Micah rides his Puki in the house.
Guess who the someone was that put up this wall in our home?
First there was the tear things up a bit portion.
Then we were on to the building up parts. Jessica helped a lot with the first two parts.
I missed photographing the "Dexter" parts. Hanging plastic sheets from the ceiling is just creepy.
I have big plans for this side of the wall.....
I love the way it looks now. This is how it always should have been!
Nice job Babe!
