Garden Tuesday - Grasshoppers

Specifically, Eastern Lubber Grasshoppers. We had a hatching back near our vegie garden area.
It was so interesting to see these little guys crawling up the fence.
Micah found them very amusing.
He almost decided to touch one.
Then he thought it was better to show them to grampa instead.
After Jessica did some research we found out that these can be considered pests.
Oh dear......

  1. thanks for linking up to Garden Tuesday. They are so pretty!! Not at all like the olive green ones I have here.

  2. I've never seen grasshoppers like these. Very interesting! Happy Garden Tuesday!

  3. I did not know that grasshoppers come in different colors. Thanks for showing these.

  4. You get the weirdest bugs! They look cool but hopefully they won't eat your plants!

  5. I wondered what lubbers were. Ick! I'm not very fond of grasshoppers!

  6. They may decide to eat your vegie garden. they would then be not so good.
