Snow and a gift

It started snowing yesterday. We got to send some people home early last night.... I was leaving at that time anyway so it was great fun, all those other people and I leaving at the same time on a snowy evening. When I got home an hour later I just hoped that the ones who had father to go were safe too... It's still snowing this morning. The urge to just stay home to bake and sew is almost overwhelming.
The people I work with are really great. I know any of you out there who read some of our little things think yeah yeah, whatever, but it is true. Even on the days that I want to stay home, I go because I don't want to miss the people that are there that day..... So anyway, one of the reasons I like these people so much is they sometimes go out of their comfort zone to try new things. When they do it for you personally, it just warms your heart. Lizy was my secret santa this year and this is what she made me! She snuck around, right under my nose, learning paper peicing from Leah. I am honored to have her first project. Look closely, it's as if she has been doing this all along. Up until a few months ago she didn't sew! Thank you Lizy!!!

Now off into the snow.....

  1. The snow is gorgeous send more pictures to I can pretend I am there! It was 71 when I walked out to go to work this morning at 7:15...ugh.... love the pieced bag she did a great job!

  2. I made it home safe and sound!! Traffic was dumb, of course (I'm sure you got to experience that joy) but I made it all the same. Crazy that it's still snowing...

Oh, and, we love you too. ^_^

  3. Lizy did a fantastic job! And I love how she got info out of you without you knowing! Haha!

  4. What a blessing to work with your 'friends'. It is a fun place to hang out too! Love what Lizy did for you, she did a great job! Maybe there is hope for me and my sewing.....yeah, yeah, I know, plug in the sewing machine and use it...................
Take a picture of the snow from the guest room so I can be there....we have had frost a few mornings, if it would just rain.

  5. Wow! First time paper piecing? What a great job. As for how lucky you are... YOU ARE! As is everyone who gets to work with you. You are one of the dearest people I know, and I miss you dearly... Ya'll better be good to her! =-)

  6. Corinnea, I am glad that you are easy to please but you deserve a lot more... however, I am not that crafty.... You are an amazing caring person / boss :) I feel the same way, totally blessed that I could work with such an awesome group of ladies....
